Job Description:Summary: The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, also to develop an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. Key Results / Outcomes Organizational Personnel Management o Organization personnel assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual o Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing o Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings o Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed o Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database o Maintains compliance with employment laws and regulations o Offers advice to line managers and company employees o Resolves issues of conflict before the need for escalation o Ensures that company procedures are being adhered to on a daily basis o Assists the HR Manager with clerical and administrative tasks essential to the smooth running of the Human Resources department Employee Engagement o Assists with the Performance Management Process and Goal Setting o Assists in new employee orientation o Prepares periodic reports for management o Assists with the development of Human Resources policies for the company with regard to employee relations o Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws o Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation o Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth o Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system of the company. Counsels managers on employment issues o Complies to regulatory concerns and reporting o Assists with employee communication and feedback through meetings, employee focus groups and one-on-one meetings
