Job Description:Purpose of the Role: The Category Manager for Rimula (lubricant for Trucks and commercial vehicles) is an integral role within the lubricant marketing team, leading one of the largest brands within the India business. The role is critical to Shells long term strategy and is one of the pivotal roles for nurturing future leaders. The core deliverables of the role are creating and implementing the marketing programs and campaigns for the brand, through deep consumer insights and charting the long term strategic growth road map for the brand. Success in this role will require a close relationship with cross functional teams including marketing colleagues, sales teams, global marketing and key customers. A good understanding of the external market and competitor activities is essential. As India is a fast growing market, there is also the opportunity to work with the Global marketing teams to provide input to the development of new customer value propositions, particularly in the area of value-added solutions, and to pilot new initiatives. The Cluster category manager will lead the brand through its next growth wave across the South Asia Cluster including India, Bangladesh, Nepal and S Lanka. Key Accountabilities: Accountable for Volume and Margin delivery for the respective category. Manage costs for all marketing activity within the assigned budget. Support and participate in the development of Annual plans Develop and implement the marketing strategy and plan covering pricing, product portfolio, packaging, training, the proposition and marketing communications plans Proactively manage the Brand budget expenditure in line with the marketing plans by working closely with the PR, Digital and Trade Marketing Team Monitor and analyze data to understand brand, product and customer performance and trends and take appropriate actions to maximize business growth In parallel, work closely with the: (a) Supply chain teams to ensure that all marketing activities are adequately reflected in sales forecasts (b) Cluster Pricing team to implement the pricing strategy and hierarchy for each sector (c) Cluster Product Lifecycle Manager to maintain the profitability & amp amp performance of the portfolio (d) Field marketing team to ensure top class delivery of marketing programs (e) Sales Managers and Regional Sales Leads to ensure adequate buy in on chosen marketing programs (f) Global brand teams to create the local implementation of global brand initiatives as well as lead the glocalization of the brand campaigns.
