Job Description:b)POSITION SUMMARY The position exists to promote the shopping centre through effective communication and hosting of events. c)KEY RESULT AREAS/ KEY DELIVERABLES 1.Marketing budgets &amp amp amp plan 2.Corporate and Promotion Specific Communication/Advertising 3.Promotions and Events 4.Public Relations 5.Retail Satisfaction Index (RSI) &amp amp amp Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) 6.Vendor Management 7.Sundry Income 8.SOH selling 9.Kiosk Leasing d)KEY INTERACTIONS InternalPurpose Centre DirectorFor day-to- day interaction and guidance HODFor guidance and approval OperationsSmooth execution of events, maintenance of PPZ brand standards For customer survey and feedback mechanism FinanceBusiness plan for new launches and clearance of invoice ExternalPurpose DevelopersFor approvals of marketing plans, expenses and payments RetailersFor day-today interaction and feedback on services AgenciesTo review and provide inputs on marketing plans e)KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Marketing budgets &amp amp amp plan -Assist in finalizing marketing plan and budget for Centre -Adherence of approved marketing plan within budget -Ensure achieving Centre SOH target. 2.Corporate and Promotion Specific Communication/Advertising -Determine the preferred media and tools to use. -Conceptualize the creative campaign, liaise with and brief the advertising agency as well as the appropriate media to ultimately ensure accurate, true and effective communication with the various markets 3.Promotions and Events -Sustain the brand awareness levels of the centre through ongoing annual, seasonal, weekly and joint events and promotions. -Conceptualize events/promotions, communicate the event to centre management and the client as well as to all tenants, execute/implement the event, attend all events (after hours and over weekends as well), liaise with the relevant suppliers and control the set budget. -Clearly understand the objectives of the events as well as the demographics of the target market and the changes within the target market. 4.Public Relations -Tenant Communication Send out notices, attend and compile minutes of all Tenant Meetings. Visit all tenants on a regular basis and report thereon. Assist tenants with any queries and or their individual marketing and advertising endeavours. Welcome new tenants as well as distribute the House Rules of the centre. Distribute a monthly newsletter to all tenants. Host quarterly tenant feedback sessions. Distribute ad-hoc marketing and or management newsletters to tenants. -Customer Relations Attend to all customer related queries. Build positive relations with role players in the community including schools, religious institutions and businesses. -Media Relations Build a positive relationship with all media role players. Meet regularly with media representatives. Distribute regular media releases (generic or promotion specific). Support the media though regular advertising. Invite media to all events and promotions. Enter into joint ventures with the media. -Social Responsibility Honour the centres social responsibility by hosting fundraising events and co-ordinating charity drives. Co-ordinate any type of on-site charity collections. -Research To implement a research strategy if the need arise. -Other Tracking of publicity. Tracking of the centres competitors. Ensure ongoing frontline staff training and or recognition. 5.RSI &amp amp amp CSI -Enhance Retail Satisfaction Index (RSI) &amp amp amp Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and score high on periodical satisfaction survey carried in mall. -Monitor and co-ordination with technical team timely closure on complaints -Maintain and updated database customer feedback, complaint log book, customer issue resolution register, etc 6.Vendor Management -Identify vendors/ agencies -Discuss plan and activities with the vendors/ agencies -Prepare contract with the vendors/ agencies -Track the performance of the vendors/ agencies -Coordinate for payment from centres 7.Sundry Income -To generate additional income for the client and or Promotion / Marketing Fund through actively promoting and hiring out promotional courts to tenants and non-competitive outside companies. -To generate sundry income for the client and or Promotion / Marketing Fund through obtaining cash sponsorships for certain events. -To generate sponsorship in-kind from tenants and outside companies for promotions and events. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Level of Education MBA (Marketing) Experience8-12 years of experience in marketing domain COMPETENCIES Functional MS office Excellent writing skills Behavioral Strong media relations Good networking skills Good selling skills Ability to work under strict deadlines
